Brian McDermott

Founding Member

Brian McDermott is a co-founder and member of Strategies Law Group. Brian represents small and large companies, municipalities and individuals in a variety of transactional legal matters. Brian also assists domestic and international telecommunications and broadband clients with local, state, federal and international regulatory matters. His experience includes mergers, acquisitions and securities issuances; the transfer/purchase of public utility facilities; the negotiation of construction contracts and land development agreements; the negotiation of rights-of-way use agreements, pole attachment and conduit access agreements and franchise agreements with municipalities; the licensing of carriers; state and federal regulatory compliance; corporate restructuring; re-emergence from bankruptcy; and strategic business planning. Brian also represents executives seeking to mitigate the risk of violating non-compete or similar restrictive agreements,

Prior to forming Strategies, Brian was a partner at an AmLaw 200 law firm.

Ward Quill

Founding Member

Edward Quill is a co-founder and member of Strategies Law Group. Edward handles a variety of legal matters for both established companies and start-up enterprises. His work includes negotiating and developing a wide range of commercial agreements including technology related agreements, software licensing agreements, asset purchase and sale agreements, leases, non-disclosure agreements, joint venture agreements, teaming agreements and contracts related to many other commercial relationships.   Edward has also handled numerous other transactions, such as asset and stock sales, and regularly represents clients in complex transactional legal matters.  Edward has served as general counsel on an out-sourced basis for several start-up entities.  He has created, coordinated and implemented legal compliance strategy for several communications companies and has represented telecommunication clients before the Federal Communications Commission and state agencies.
